ADGM Tokenizes SpaceX Exposure as Governance Takes Center Stage in Digital Securities

A Binance group affiliate has issued tokenized securities in ADGM linked to SpaceX shares.

The Times of UAE reported that the Certificates required a prospectus approved by ADGM’s Financial Services Regulatory Authority.

This is not really a crypto story. It is a control story.

The Certificates were issued by BTECH Holdings Limited and made available through Binance’s ADGM exchange. They represent beneficial interests in underlying SpaceX equity securities. The report says each token is backed 1:1 by corresponding shares held in a segregated custody account.

That is the important part. Tokenization only becomes useful for serious capital when legal rights, custody, disclosure, trading approval, and investor protection are clear.

ADGM’s role is the signal. The UAE is not only attracting capital. It is building regulated channels for how capital can be held, accessed, and traded.

For principals and CFOs, the question is not whether digital securities are fashionable.

The question is whether the structure is governable.
Who holds the asset?
What rights does the certificate carry?
Which regulator approved the disclosure?
Where does operational control sit?

Technology changes the wrapper. Governance decides whether the wrapper is safe.
